Mamabear and Papabear's side project

Hi all!

Mamabear and I have been working to start a new Cafe in San Francisco. We are currently looking to get a loan from Prosper and we would love it if you could help spread the word!

I can try but san fran is a long ways away from cleveland ohio...

Australia is even further! lol.

So how does this thing work?

Maybe it's just cuase i'm tired but that site confused the hell outta me...

Basically people can lend money at a certain rate to the borrower, as little as $50. As a lender, your rate of return on that money is whatever it is set at the end of the bidding. So basically, as a lender you're bidding for a rate on the loan, similar to buying a bond on the bond market (except it's individuals on a much smaller scale).

I think it's currently US only though :/

Well, Prosper didn't work out but we're still going full steam ahead with it! We've been spending the last couple of days at Lowe's and mucking around with paint, cleaning, etc. etc. Still a lot of work left though, but we'll be sure to keep everyone posted!

BTW, anyone in California going to the Garlic Festival in Gilroy?
